In this program, youth participate in fitness training with police officers (both male and female officers). Activities include push-ups, jumping jacks, running, and more. Participating children are able to see the police officers as someone relatable, as they witness them being “human” – struggling to perform push-ups, having difficulty during their runs, etc. just like the children do. The time they spend together allows walls and barriers between the kids and the police officers to come down, creating a positive relationship and helping to facilitate mentoring. The children are also given the opportunity to have productive conversations with the officers while conducting community policing together. Program sessions take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening and special workouts are held on various weekends throughout the year. See our schedule for dates and times.

Karate has strength & discipline and has helped shape me into who I am today. Her favorite part is not only competing but also traveling. She has been to 5 different countries & says it's amazing. Meeting new people from different countries is an unbelievable experience. She loves that she has friends from across the world. She loves that this sport gives her teammates, a home and a family. Her Sensei is a huge part of her life & has been there for her since she was 3 & is forever thankful.
Jenna is inspired by her mom. My mom has made so many sacrifices & pushes me to thrive & be a better competitor and overall person. She has helped me to learn how to lose & to be humble when I win. Another huge inspiration for me is Jesus! I pray every time before I step on the mat because I know I would not be where I am today without Him. My motivation is my faith, God gave me abilities to do great things & I want to glorify Him in every way possible.
In 2019, Jenna debuted at the WKC World Karate Championships with Team USA, overcoming a broken arm, facing a tough Canadian team, she triumphed to claim bronze! She has such a big heart & invited the 4th place competitor to the podium with her. Her act of kindness & compassion showed true championship spirit. That moment didn't just bring home a medal, it brought tears to my eyes. Watching my daughter win with both strength and heart is the proudest moment in our karate journey together.

Sensei Juan is Hunters biggest inspiration. Hunter loves listening to all of his stories from when he was a kid and doing karate himself. Sensei Juan is a world Champion for Team USA also.
My favorite moment is when Hunter was in third place and competing for the gold in Portugal. He put in so much work and effort changing his form and Won The GOLD!! Hunter was in tears when they announced he won. It was truly an amazing moment for all of us to witness.

Seeing Lino push through tough workouts, in extreme weather and succeed. Lino has only been competing in karate tournaments for 6 months and will be competing internationally for Team USA this fall. In addition his time in track and cross country is getting faster.
